Context
An upstream Oil and Gas organization who was in the process of merging three organizations into one reached out to Arcurve for help. The acquiring organization had to integrate another local upstream company as well as the Canadian operations of a large US based producer to their company.
Solution
Arcurve undertook a series of coordinated projects consisting of software selection decisions, data conversions from multiple systems into a single data base environment, the implementation of new software required to operate a larger organization than either of the three, the integration of staffing resources and the integration of three corporate IT organization cultures. The results were significant and included:
- A streamlined, current portfolio of common applications following a significant rationalization effort
- A common and robust technical infrastructure to support the merged organization
- Implementation of a well-defined strategy for reporting and analytics with a reduced set of tools and self-serve reporting
- A re-tooled IT organization with appropriate staffing to support the merged organization
The result was a strong, nimble, and cost-effective team armed with the right technology solutions.
"Partnering with Censeo and Arcurve, I think being picky about the quality of people that service partners bring has really helped us in terms of saving money, doing things quickly, and ending up with a better result."
