December usually brings snow, holiday parties and too many sweets, but it also brings Calgary's tech community together to give back, under the YYC Tech Gives umbrella. 2019 was a record-breaking year, in regards to number of participating companies, and dollar amount raised.

The Arcurve team really got into the holiday spirit this year!

We might not have won the coveted Spam Cup trophy, but thanks to our amazing team and our all star ringer, Terry Cahill, we think we came out on top in spirit.

A house divided against itself cannot stand... unless it's for a good cause! A rivalry as old as time: East vs. West—which side of the office could collect the most food for the Calgary Food Bank?

The West side pulled out the win, which earned them the right to be served by the East side at our annual Festivus luncheon. In total, both sides of the office donated 5,850 pounds of food!

We had the opportunity to present a giant (both literal and figurative) YYC Tech Gives cheque to the Calgary Food Bank during CBC Calgary's annual Blitz Day. Can you believe it? Calgary's tech community raised a whopping $253,003.29 to help feed hungry Calgarians!

And we got to close out a busy month with puppy cuddles! CBC Calgary and our friends at ARF came to visit with some very good boys—free snuggles with a donation to the Food Bank.

Our December exemplified this past year for Arcurve—super busy, a little crazy, and full of love for our community!
